Elizabeth Morris' Original Prints are etchings, produced in small editions of 50, 75 or 100, and are usually printed on heavy 300 gsm Somerset paper.

She works on copper or steel plates, which are deeply bitten and heavily textured to create a richly worked surface.

From the initial 'on the spot drawings', to the etching of the copper or steel plate, to the proofing and final printing and editioning they are entirely her own work. In no way should they be confused with mass produced reproductions, so often also described as prints.

Liz is based on the picturesque Mersea Island, on the Blackwater Estuary in Essex, famed for its sailing and oyster eating (but not necessarily at the same time!).
